Many people have pets for different reasons. They might need emotional support, help with their health, or a companion for life. This is where the quote “Man’s best friend” comes from.

Recently, scientists have found research that actually supports this fact. Studies done by students and scientists have recently discovered that pets also can help children with “brain power.”

A study shows that kids can do memory games with fewer errors and reminders with a dog in the room. In fact, according to the BBC article, babies in households with animals tend to be better at recognizing animal faces by the time they are 10 months old.

Pets bond with children really quickly. When a family owns a dog for even just 2 weeks, the child and the pet are inseparable. Pets are awesome for a reason, not just fun!
