Wildfires, global warming, deforestation, and pollution are decimating our tree population. If we doubled the number of trees still currently standing, we could potentially take out the problem of global warming, which doesn’t only affect trees, but almost all life as well.
So why is planting 3 million, sorry, trillion trees important? Trees take Co2, which is a detrimental ingredient in greenhouse gasses and the main factor in global warming. Trees then convert these molecules into oxygen, which, according to Science Focus.com, is responsible for up to around 23% of the air we breathe.
When there are definite upsides to a couple trillion trees, there are downsides as well. Think about it; there are already a lot of trees, if you double that amount, there won’t be room for anything else. The world would get more cramped. Adding on, with more trees there’s more oxygen, which might not be the best. If you’re scared of bugs, it’s best not to read further.
Research done by scientist Pete Zrioka shows how oxygen scales with the size of bugs, leading us to believe that with more oxygen in the atmosphere, the bigger the bug.

Having more trees isn’t necessarily terrible. Deforestation is a big issue, it cuts down millions of trees per year for paper, firewood, and art. However, if we double the number of trees, we have a whole another three trillion trees, and the prices of wood would lower, which “wood” benefit civilian lives.
All in all, planting trees has its positive and negative effects.
Hi Jaden! Great work! This is one of your best yet! The humor is so important in this piece. Global warming is a gloomy subject and the humor makes me want to read on, and ejoy doing so.
