On June 4, a wildfire roamed a forest in New Mexico.

Philip Connors was the person to look out for forest fires in a forest area, so he deeply loves the trees that burned.

However, he found signs of fire everywhere. At the highest elevations, the oldest conifers used to be snowed in through late March. Now there’s less snow, and the soil is drier.
