On June 11, 2022, tens of thousands of Americans gathered together to protest for stronger gun control laws.

The U.S has had many problems with people getting hurt throughout the rallies and the shootings. The rallies can go over packed with people that get trampled and sometimes tackle the people that disagree in what they believe is right. The shootings are more dangerous than the rallies because people with guns can instantly kill people.

In the U.S. gun violence has been steadily increasing. Over the years many deaths have been caused by gun violence, increasing from 417 in 2019 to 610 in 2020 to 692 in 2021.

Every single one of these many rallies and shootings haven’t been overlooked. On June 12, 2022, Senate negotiators from the Democratic and Republican declared that they will re-enforce the law to make it more specific.

According to DOGOnews, “The legislation is expected to include, among other things, broader background checks for prospective gun buyers under the age of 21. It will also prohibit individuals convicted of domestic violence from owning weapons.”
