People can do a lot of things with apps! They can download almost any app that allows them to do something! Apps can be found on computers, phones, iPads, and other mobile devices!

They can listen to music (on YouTube, Music, YouTube Music, Spotify, Tidal, Amazon Music Unlimited, Deezer, Apple Music, etc.), create music (on GarageBand, Auto-Tune, Automation, SoundCloud, etc.), find an app that allows them to play any instrument or make music, like (Simply Piano, Simply Guitar, etc.), view pictures or videos (on YouTube, Twitter, TikTok, etc.), scan pictures (on Genius Scan, Mobile Doc Scanner, Handy Scanner, CamScanner, TurboScan, etc.), create videos or pictures, or watch TV (on YouTube, Camera, Photos, etc.), make calculations (on Calculator, iMathematics, MyScript Calculator, Maple Calculator, Pcalc, Photomath, WolframAlpha, Microsoft Maths Solver, Socratic by Google, etc.), and much more!

Apps can be entertaining, useful, and helpful! When you are bored, you can download a game. When you can’t figure out a really hard math problem, then just use a Calculator to help you solve the problem. Want to see the weather changes or forecast for your garden? Maybe WeatherBug would be the best choice. If you need to shop, just use a store’s online app, like Costco. Costco has an online app where you can buy the exact same things in the store! A store’s online app would also be great if you are worried about Covid! You can have whatever you need delivered to your home. If you have a bill, then pay in the apps! For example, you can use PayPal. Many parents use PayPal to pay bills. Want to communicate with friends but don’t want to waste gas to drive to their house or send a letter and wait a long time for a reply? WeChat or Facetime would solve the problem. If a place has items on sale, you can check if there is an item on sale when it’s usually too expensive on Gmail, Mail, or Email. Addicted to exercising and really want to get in shape? Then download a calorie or heartbeat tracker to see how hard you’re actually working rather than guessing. Want to learn how to play an instrument but it’s too hard or you don’t know? Download Simply Piano or something similar that helps you learn an instrument.

There were almost 2.4 million apps published in 2016! 789,600 were made in Asia, 705,600 apps were made in North America, and 594,600 were made in Europe (not including the UK). In 2021, there were about 4.37 million apps published in the App Store!
