Tom Cruise is one of the world’s highest-paid actors and is very successful. He has a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame, and also his handprints in Leicester Square, London. But when he is offscreen, Cruise is hard to find. He is very secretive about his private life. When he does try to be normal, he ends up sounding like an alien. For instance, when asked if he had a most memorable film experience, Cruise couldn’t name one! Instead, he replied, “I love movies.”

One of Cruise’s latest films is called Top Gun: Maverick. Instead of using a green screen, Cruise decided to use real planes and forced himself through flight training. He even encouraged his costars to bear G-force speeds until they threw up. Cruise has also climbed the world’s tallest building, held his breath for 6 and a half minutes, and jumped out of an airplane with the cameraman.

Despite being a daredevil, Cruise has said he is chiefly responsible for control. He radiates a feeling of treating every movie as if it’s the most important one he has ever done.

I feel like this is a good way to approach movies and using this method can help you make better movies and help you “tap-in” into your character.
