Mysterious holes were found in the deep

oceans. This past Thursday, Scientists studied

them when they went down to the ocean and now .

guess that a kind of ocean vehicle did it, a human

did it when they were traveling underwater, or

maybe, a mysterious sea creature did it.

The second one might not be possible. The

scientists used these special under water vehicles

to go see the holes, which are about 4 inches or

more apart and 5-6 feet long.

The holes are located the mid-Atlantic Ridge

which is a section of a big, deep part of the Atlantic

Ocean. It stretches more than 10,000 miles! The

remotely operated vehicle’s suctioning device

collected sediment samples to examine whether

there was an organism inside the holes, Dr. Sowers

said.

The next mission to study the holes is on Aug. 7
