The Time I Made Someone's Day Feel Better
One time, I made my brother’s day feel better with his favorite activity. He really likes to play video games (especially Zelda Breath of the Wild). In the summer, he was learning how to swim, and my dad told him, “if you don’t swim 10 laps, you can’t play Zelda today.” So that motivated him to swim as hard as he could. We were there for 8 hours, were my knee hurt, so I was in the hot and cold tub like my dad had instructed. After those 8 whole hours, my brother still couldn’t finish those 10 Laps on the shallow end. So when we got in the car, he just cried and cried and cried. So I gave him a deal. I didn’t much like playing video games; in fact, I loathed it. But I did like listening to a podcast before we slept. So I said, “How about this? I will give you my time for Zelda today, but you will let me listen to the podcast that I want today. Deal?” He said, “Fine, deal.” and he stopped crying, with a big smile on his face.
