The Legendary Tale of Despereaux

The book The Tale of Despereaux is a really good book because there is part 1, part 2, and part 3. It also has a name on the parts to tell who is the part going to be about. It is cool because when Despereaux was born, he had way bigger ears than any other mice. He is also born with his eyes open. None of the other mice were born with their eyes open.

When Despereaux met his aunt and uncle, his mom told Despereaux’s aunt and uncle that he was born with his eyes open. His aunt and uncle said that Despereaux won’t survive for long. But instead of not surviving, he still did survive with his eyes open. This book is also really interesting and also a really long story. Despereaux also fell in love with a princess called Princess Pea. Her father thinks Despereaux is a bug but Princess Pea said that He is a mouse, not a bug. Then Princess Pea and Her Dad argued until her dad finally agreed with Princess Pea. When Despereaux went back to his home, His dad said why are you hanging out with the princess. Despereaux said that he fell in love with the Princess. Despereaux’s dad made an announcement that Despereax needed to go into the dungeon. All the mice agreed. Then two mice with a red hoodie brought Despereaux to the Dungeon. Despereaux was really sad. Then the two mice pushed Despereax into the Doungeon and left him with the rats. The rats tried to eat Despereax but A statue human Lifted Despereaux up. His name was Gregory. Despereaux also had a rope wrapped around him so he couldn’t escape. Despereax was happy that he did not get eaten by the rats trying to kill him.

Then after part 2, there is part 3 and this part is about a girl named Miggery Sow. Her mom died and her father sold her. Now, she worked for a chef. At that time the princess got tricked by Roscuro and she is stuck in the dungeon. Not long After, Miggery Sow was also trapped in the dungeon. Also at that time Despereaux escaped the dungeon and heard that Princess Pea was trapped in the dungeon. Before Despereaux tried to rescue Princess Pea, He asked the rope master if he could borrow a needle to protect himself in his Journey to save Princess Pea. Despereaux knew that it would be hard to save her, But he still did it. Despereaux snuck through all the rats except Roscuro. He did not let Despereaux pass. So Despereaux grabbed the needle and stabbed it at Roscuro’s heart. Roscuro just ran away from Despereaux and Despereaux helped Princess Pea and Miggery Sow out of the dungeon. Princess Pea was so proud of Despereaux for saving her They lived happily ever after.
