Evelyn is 8 years old and has been dancing since the age 2. She is very talented and has won first place for most of her dance styles. Evelyn has long blond hair, blue eyes, and is very skinny. She is now in the hardest competition in the world! There are three dances and three chances to win. The weight of the world seems to be resting on her shoulders.
While she warms up for the routine, she spots someone who looks exactly like her. Her name is Eveleigh, and she has short blond hair, green eyes, and is very skinny. She has two dances and two chances to win. “Wow, you look like my twin!” exclaims Evelyn. Everleigh is up first in the competition, and she does great and didn’t miss a beat.
Evelyn goes next, but she is off count and missed a whole move. “It’s ok, you still have 2 more chances unlike me” says Everleigh trying to calm her down. “No, I did horrible! I will never win this competition!” exclaims Evelyn. Everleigh next number was as flawless as her first one, again not missing a beat. Evelyn takes a deep breath and steps on stage. She does better this time, but still not very good. “Wow! That was great Evelyn!” shouts Everleigh. “Not as good as I can usually do, my only chance of winning is on this last number.” Evelyn responds nervously. For Evelyn’s last number, she did everything she could do and did the best performance.
Now, it is time for the results, and everyone is holding their breath. “Only one contestant had a perfect score of 30.0” the announcer says. “In third place, with a score of 27.00, is Penelope! “Penelope, how old are you and where do you dance?” asked the announcer. “I am 7 years old from Always Dance Center.” Said Penelope into the microphone. In second place, with a score of 29.00, Everleigh! How old are you and where do you dance? Asked the announcer again. “I am 8 years old, and I dance at Don’t Miss a Beat.” Said Everleigh. And in first place, our grand winner with a perfect score of 30.0, EVELYN! The crowds went roaring! “I can’t believe I won!” Evelyn said to Everleigh.
