One dish that I really enjoy is Hotpot. Hotpot is a traditional Chinese dish usually served in the winter. This is because, as the name suggests, the meal is served inside a large pot, which is kept very warm. Hot pot is served by allowing people to use a spoon to reach inside and grab food. Then, they place it in front of them in a bowl full of rice.
I also like a Chinese dessert called Tanghulu. Tanghulu is a dessert that is served on wooden sticks and has honey-covered fruit, which tastes really good. This is a dessert that originated from northern China, specifically, Beijing. This fruit dessert has spread to many other parts of the world because of its deliciousness. This dessert has even sparked a viral TikTok trend where people try it and make videos about it.
Fruits that are on the stick of this delicious dessert can include: Strawberries, blueberries, orange, banana, and even traditionally, a fruit called “Shan ja”. My personal favorites are the strawberry ones and the “Shan ja” ones because of their crunchiness when I bite down on them, as well as the juicy, delicious taste.
I also like Miso soup. I like this dish because I enjoy the taste of Miso in general. Miso soup is a dish that originated in Japan from Buddhist Monks. The sauce people use to make Miso soup comes from soybeans. To prepare Miso soup, first boil some water. Then, put the soybean sauce in with some vegetables or seaweed. The Miso soup is done! It eventually spread to the rest of the world, and everyone wanted to try it after it was transported from Japan. Famous YouTubers tried Miso soup and said that it was really good and if given the chance, everyone should try it at least once.
