All You Need to Know About The 2025 Fifa Club World Cup
This year, the FIFA Club World Cup will be taking place in the US and will be featuring 32 teams instead of 7. There are 32 teams this year because FIFA ( Fédération Internationale of Association ) wanted to elevate the tournament and have greater participation around the world.
This competition is a four-week competition starting June 14th to July 13th. The competition will be in 10 different states, with the final match in the MetLife Stadium, New Jersey.
Because of the increase in teams playing this year in the Club World Cup, this competition will no longer be held every year but instead every four years, like the World Cup. This makes every Club World Cup a bigger event and even more exciting. This allows the Club World Cup to match the World Cup format and increase participation from teams around the world.
This year, there are 32 teams, including 21 new teams. Here is a list of the new teams: Atletico Madrid, Benfica, Juventus, RB Salzburg, Borussia Dortmund, Paris Saint-Germain, Inter Milan, Porto, Inter Miami, Seattle Sounders, LAFC, Botafogo, Fluminense, River Plate, Boca Juniors, Ulsan, Urawa Red, ES Tunis, Mamelodi Sundowns, Wydad, and Auckland City. With all these new teams, it makes the 2025 Club World Cup the largest Club World Cup.
Many are excited for the new team, Inter Miami, because of their star, Lionel Messi. Some teams that are predicted to win include: Inter Miami, PSG, and Real Madrid. From the new teams to the new format, this year’s FIFA Club World Cup will definitely be very exciting to watch.
