Tour de France 2025: Historic Wins

The Tour de France is a challenging bike race held during the summer in France. Bikers must race up and down mountains and on dangerous trails. The men’s race ended when Tadej Pogačar won for the fourth time on July 27th. The women’s race ended on August 3rd, the winner being Pauline Ferrand-Prévot.
The Tour de France is an extreme competition where bikers gather together to complete each stage of the race. Each stage can have a different winner, and at the end of the day, the total time is added up. The person in the lead wears a yellow jersey to show their rank. The bikers also work in teams. By working together, they can help each other win. Normally, they have a leader, and they work together to help the leader win.
The men’s tour lasted over 3 weeks, and this year it consisted of 2,052 miles (3,302 kilometers). This year’s winner, Tadej Pogačar, had a total time of 76 hours and 32 seconds. It was 4 minutes and 24 seconds faster than 2nd place, Jonas Vingegaard. This was the 5th year in a row that Vingegaard and Pogačar took the first 2 places in the race.
This year’s women’s tour lasted 9 days, covering 726 miles (1,169 kilometers) in the process. The winner, Pauline Ferrand-Prévot, won with a time of 29 hours, 54 minutes, and 24 seconds. She is the first French person to win the tour since the 1980s.
