NBA Final Scores are Currently Tied
On Sunday, June 8th, in an intense game at Paycom Center, the Oklahoma City Thunder ties the series score with a complete and steady win of 123-107 in Game 2 against the Indiana Pacers.
The NBA Finals are now tied 1-1 after Oklahoma City’s loss to the Indiana Pacers in Game 1.
This victory on Sunday was backed by 34 points from league MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. League MVP Shai isn’t the only one that stepped up their game. Chet Holmgren and Jalen Williams struggled during Game 1. In Game 2, however, Holmgren finished with 15 points and 6 rebounds. Williams contributed 19 points and 5 rebounds plus 5 assists to the team.
Players such as Alex Caruso and Aaron Wiggins who came off the bench, scoring also meant some unexpected yet crucial points. Thunder’s strong and steadfast defense also made sure that there were much lower chances for the Pacers to a comeback.
Thunder coach Mark Daigneault says during an interview that he always expects his team to play well.
On the other side, Game 2 was tough for the Pacers. Tyrese Haliburton, their most essential player, didn’t make much of an impact at all at the start. Though Haliburton eventually did find his groove later in the game, but it was already too late.
Other important players of the Pacers, such as Pascal Siakam, also found it hard to score. The Pacers’ major lack of attack resulted in them overall struggling to score points. This meant that they were fighting hard to keep up with Thunder’s teamwork that day. At last, the most notable contributions were Tyrese Haliburton, with 17 points and 6 assists. With Myles Turner also pitched in 16 points.
Game 3 is set to take place at 5:30 p.m. PDT on Wednesday in Indianapolis. The Pacers will look to improve the performance of their star players at the start of the game. Thunder will hope to maintain their steady teamwork from the last game for an advantage.
Though both teams have already experienced their first defeat and victory, we now look to see what will happen in the next game. The NBA Finals have only just started, it’s not too late for the tables to turn.
