Following the overturning of Roe v. Wade, the Republican Party now feels that the public is paying too much attention to abortion rights.
The positions that the GOP have taken have made a big impact on public opinion on abortion. In July, the GOP rejected a Congress bill “protecting the right to cross state lines to get an abortion.” And while The Texas attorney general agreed on defense for the state law, a Republican Senate candidate in Arizona wanted a national ban on abortion.
The GOP has also taken harmful positions on sexuality rights; Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene stated that “heterosexual people will disappear while reproachingly condemning “trans terrorist” educators. Republican Matt Gaetz went even further to call the protesters ugly.
The GOP’s opposing party, the Democrats, have been arguing about the Republicans’ feelings on abortion. They’d said that the Republicans took things too far, and Republicans called them extreme for their opposing limitations of abortion in later pregnancy.
Fortunately, the Democrats were able to strike back at the Republicans; in Wisconsin, Democrats were able to win over an argument with Republican Sen. Ron Johnson for his harmful position and remarks on abortion. He’d said that he had “no reason” to reject a bill protecting sex marriage rights.
Once again, the Republicans are abusing their positions to make the point that the public are giving too much support for the Congress bill.
