Biofluorescence: A very cool adaptation
I spy with my little eye a bright light in the sea, but what could it be? Questions like this are being asked more often now, but what could they mean? Turns out, there is a special type of animal adaptation called biofluorescence that makes it glow.
The were claimed to be biofluorescent, including 48 that have been known for longer periods of time, coral reef or the very bottom of the sea.
Scientists have found that this adaptation first started millions of years ago so fish could ” talk” to each other. Scientists are now trying to learn more about them, so there will be information in the next few years.
