To The Best Teacher Ever
Cindy Pu
Dear 6th Grade Teacher,
Thank you for being such an amazing, kind, and supportive teacher! I appreciate all the times you helped me with my writing pieces and math. I learned so much because of you! You made my 6th grade year one full of fun memories that I will cherish forever. Even though our class was REALLY loud and obnoxious, you never raised your voice at us. You would just stand there with your hand up and say your most repeated sentence of the year. “I’ll wait.” You should get that printed on a shirt! Also, after begging a million times, you would let the class play so many games of silent ball in a day, I think we might’ve broken some sort of world record! When we got way too noisy, you would say, “last chance” so many times I lost count (which is another thing you should get printed, maybe your coffee mug!)
I’ll always remember when you showed us that funny TikTok of the zebra that was “defying gravity,” and when we watched Despicable Me 4 as a class. My favorite thing about that day was when you popped us popcorn in the teacher’s lounge and filled the whole school with the smell of buttery deliciousness!
My favorite memory from that year was probably when the whole class pranked you on April Fool’s Day! It was hilarious when we suddenly all fainted on the floor at the same time! We did it right in the middle of math too (yay for us!) Also, I enjoyed the Color Wars! Probably because our house won! Although, we did get red eye black everywhere in the classroom, on the carpet, desks, the silent ball (I have no idea how), and our worksheet papers… but we were showing team spirit! Which I bet helped us make a BIG comeback and BEAT THE OTHER HOUSES!
I loved all the art projects we did throughout the year. My favorite was probably the pumpkin dot paintings we did in the fall even though it took me forever to finish! You offered help to everyone who needed it and encouraged us to finish the project even if it was hard. Just like when we’re in the middle of math and you help us get through it, even though no one wanted to do the math because it’s the end of the school day and everyone just wanted to go home! Also, we just wanted to play silent ball :).
Thank you for everything you did for me and for always being open to talk about anything! I’ll always appreciate you!
P.S. a LOT of respect for dealing with our crazy (but always THE BEST) class for the whole school year! I’ll miss all the times you told us stories about your high school love life!
With lots of love, your ex-student,
Cindy Pu
