Unlike before, the temperatures are rising higher, causing heatwaves all over the U.S.A. Almost everyone in the U.S is affected by the sudden temperature rise. The hotter and drier states are affected the most by these heatwaves, sometimes rising to temperatures as high as 120 degrees Fahrenheit -especially in desert states like Arizona, California, and Texas. For example, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Palm Springs, and California have reached 110 degrees for multiple days. The reason these temperatures are rising so fast is due to the outcome of a heat dome. That means it traps heat in one specific area of the world. The Tampa Bay Times states that this is the first time Tampa, Florida, has reached triple digits for temperature.
