Taylor Swift Announces Release Date of New Album
On Wednesday, August 13th, Taylor Swift announced in a podcast interview with her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, that she is releasing her newest album, ‘The Life of a Showgirl,’ on October 3rd. Fans cannot wait to hear the track, as this surprise album has left them anticipating what her songs will sound like since her last album was released much earlier in the year.
In a two-hour ‘New Hights’ podcast episode hosted by Travis Kelce, the football star, and his brother, Jason Kelce, Taylor affirmed that she wrote her new album during the Eras Tour. In response to why this album has an orange and teal color scheme, she explained, “It feels like kind of energetically how my life has felt. This album is about what was going on behind the scenes in my inner life during this tour, which was so exuberant and electric and vibrant.”
‘The Life of a Showgirl’ will be Taylor’s first release since she bought back the right to her first six albums. “It’s always been a huge thing for me,” she said on New Heights. “Like since I was a teenager, I’ve been actively saving up money to buy my music back.” Being able to own her music is important to her, as she loves each song and album.
