After a Congress hearing on a reported 140 UFOs, NASA is finally joining the hunt for UFOs. Nasa plans on bringing a scientific approach to the hunt, saying that anything “that cannot be identified as aircraft or known natural phenomena” is considered a UFO. Not only does the administration want to learn more about the unknown, but they are also worried about airspace safety. Having unidentified objects in the air poses potential dangers to pilots and crowds the airspace. NASA also wants to investigate the UFOs to find any evidence about their origin, terrestrial or extra–terrestrial. However, it must be noted that many flying object sightings lack specifics, making it difficult for NASA to draw any conclusions. There is no evidence that the UFOs were extraterrestrial, but NASA is still searching nearby planets for lifeforms.
