Excited by the smell of butter and the taste of Sprite in my mouth, my friends and I watched “A Minecraft Movie” the day it came out. The movie has drawn a lot of criticism due to its failure to capture the essence of the game, the plot, and the poor production. However, this movie may not deserve all the hate from people who think this movie ruined Minecraft. I like this movie because it captures the game’s creative freedom, has a simple plot, and is generally very funny and unserious.

Firstly, the Minecraft Movie helps capture the game’s creative freedom. The movie shows the main character doing many things kids do when playing the game, such as building a roller coaster, fighting monsters, and surviving the night. This also hits me with a wave of nostalgia from when I used to play Minecraft and build all sorts of blocky structures. It also shows the group splitting up and shows how they meet up again using different ways to get to the destination. In the beginning, it also shows all the things the main character built while in the world and shows us how creative you can be in the game, such as Steve’s lava chicken stand.

Also, the movie has a very simple plot. This is nice because it shows how simple the game can be while also being fun, as it is a sandbox game where you can do whatever. The plot is also very predictable and happy, and when it gets to a sad moment, it doesn’t stay sad for long, as when they were arguing, there is always an ambush or something that happens to make the moment sort of comical. I think this movie would be very good for kids, as they can enjoy the movie without having to think and be sad.

Lastly, the movie is funny and unserious. The movie shows us that everything doesn’t have to be serious in life. The movie has a lot of funny parts and a lot of childish humor, which makes most kids enjoy this movie. It also references a lot of things from the game and the community, such as the Technobladewhich brings people together while watching this movie.

Overall, I’d give this movie an 8 out of 10 because the plot is a bit too simple. The people in the theaters are also very chaotic, which has led to some theaters being taken down and some bad reviews. If you haven’t seen this movie before and want a good laugh, you should go see it.
