Fifteen current and former Mexican fighters arranged this largest boxing class in the world in Zolaco, the main square in Mexico City, on June 18, 2022.

Some of the influential teachers include in the colossal boxing class organized by the Sports Institute of Mexico City include Erik “El Terrible” Morales, Andy Ruiz Jr., Oscar Valdez, Jackie Nava, Humberto “Chiquita” González, Miguel Berchelt, Jose “Pipino” Cuevas, Alfonso Zamora, Jose Luis Bueno, Jose Antonio “Jaguar” Aguirre, Ganigan Lopez, Adrian “Confesor” Hernandez, Mariana Juarez, Ana Maria Torres, and Alan David Picasso.

This event broke the Guinness World Record for the largest boxing class ever held, with 14,299 people attending the course. Moscow, Russia, held the previous record with 3,250 attendants joining in on the massive boxing class held in the Red Square.

All 14,299 participants wore Mexican flag colors to cover the entire square in green, white, and red.

On June 3, 2022, Javier Hidalgo Ponce, director of the Sports Institute of Mexico City, presented the shirts just a couple of weeks before the class took place. “It will be a great multicolored party because together, we will form the Mexican flag with these beautiful shirts that each and every one of the participants in the Massive Boxing Class will have.”

The class lasted 30 minutes with only two 20-second water breaks.
