Australian Cartoonist Mark Knight to be added to the list of banned Australians drafted by Putin.

Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered an attack on Ukraine on February 24, 2022 because he believed the country should still be part of the Great Soviet Union.

The people of Ukraine were furious when the Russians invaded an eastern part of their homeland. The Ukrainians have been fighting the Russian invasion valiantly ever since, starting off with molotov cocktails and antitank missiles.

Not only does President Putin send attack to those outside of Russia who do not listen to his wishes, but he also bans people from entering Russia who have conflicting ideas. 121 politicians, journalists, business people and dignitaries from Australia are on the list.

Mark Knight can’t believe he hasn’t made the banned list after he creates cartoons like the one below showing a shirtless Vladimir Putin riding a bear with a shirtless Chinese president Xi Jinping riding a giant panda.

Additionally, Knight decided to draw another cartoon, shown below, so that his name can be on the list. Putin usually meets with people in this lavish palace, across a long table. Mark drew an ironic picture based on this image.

In this drawing, Knight sketched himself as a smallish man in a large, gilt chair on one side of a very long table. There is a complete list of banned Australians rolled out over the entire length of the table. In the drawing, Knight is sitting at the other end of the table, questioning Putin why he is not on the list.

Putin is seen, in the illustration, as a “despotic ruler in lavish palaces, invading neighboring countries like something from a comic book, a ‘Doctor Evil’ type character.”

Despite his pokes and prods, Knight thinks there is a still possibility that Putin does not get annoyed and won’t add him to the list.
