Australian cartoonist Mark Knight has been thinking of ways to annoy Putin after what he did, first invading Ukraine and then denying 122 Australians with jobs such as business and reporters from entering the country. This was all for what the president called, making Russia great again”.
It started when Russia invaded and attacked Ukraine as he thought the territory was his, and still part of the Soviet Union when he worked for the KGB (secret police).
Now, President Putin doesn’t like people to fight back, so he started a powerful bombing phase for Ukraine to destroy it. But the Ukrainians fearlessly fought back.
Other than this, Putin also goes against other countries’ people that don’t accept his decision to attack Ukraine. Recently, he focused on Australians (like Mark Knight) since they provided his main target with funds and weapons, they were also very severe on Russia to obey laws or instructions.
What he did about this was to stop 122 Australians from entering even though their jobs required it, one of those many was Sam Weir (Mark’s editor for The Herald Sun).
But weirdly, no cartoonists were on it! After caricatures of him riding Russian bears (national animal) without his shirt on, cheap jokes, and many other actions, no cartoonists were added to the list.
Mark decided to draw a comic about this at once. One of Mark’s favorite images of President Putin is him sitting at a giant white dining table, that’s about 1/10 of a kilometer long, in his fancy ballroom with the tall marble columns and statues, soft velvet curtains, and other things a president would enjoy. Most of the time Mark draws the picture, Mark usually sketches Putin talking with somebody meters away at the other opposite side of him.
Mark drew him as a small man in a huge, gold material chair sitting there prepared to ratify the list of banned Australians, then, Mark drew him asking Putin if he was sure to not include him, being the person who drew the comic to express how no cartoonists were added.
