Laws in different countries are limiting LGBTQ+ people’s rights. [Lots of bills in the United States of America have been made that restrict LGBTQ+ people’s rights.][Is there a way to combine this sentence with the first one?] These bills change what bathrooms they can use with their id cards. Recently, many politicians are trying to ban drag story-tellings and drag shows. Drag shows are a type of entertainment performed by drag artists. Drag storytelling is when a person in drag reads books to children with LGBTQ+ people inside of the book.

Canada is protected from LGBTQ+ Canadians are protected from discrimination by the Canadian Human Rights Act. The law protects Canadians from thirteen types of discrimination, which means that they can’t be denied a job because of who they are.

But, he still opened his university’s first gay students club, with his partner and now husband. But just because your human rights are written into law, doesn’t mean you are safe however, many LGBTQ+ students feel their schools aren’t safe.

Last summer, Compton’s youth center received lots of LGBTQ+ threats. They were also threatened by a Twitter account that has been heavily critiqued for its anti-LGBTQ+ posts. This made some of the youths afraid. So, we should speak up when LGBTQ+ people’s rights are being threatened.
