Another flood has drowned the state of Kentucky, and this time it is one of the worst floods. Cities such as Hazard, Kentucky are having firefighters and National Guard crews swarm around trying to find people trapped in their houses.
Leaders of cities and states have all ordered to send supply trucks to the people who were hit most. One city that was affected by the storm badly was the town of Bremen. The town had supplies sent to it immediately, and many were helped.
Officials have confirmed that at least 26 people are dead because of the flood in Kentucky, and even more are injured. Many were rescued by helicopter, and were transported to safety.
Damages included houses with their foundations ripped out, broken bridges, roads filled with debris. Many of the houses were also incomplete because of another recent flood less than a year ago.
Floods aren’t the only problem in Kentucky, as there are also commonly tornadoes.
The whole country has been supporting the people affected by the major flood, and many hope that the survivors can go back to their homes soon.
