During a long dinner, K-Pop Superstar Band BTS announced they are taking a break. The announcement was filmed and shared on social media, instantly getting the attention of millions.

RM, the leader of the group, said, “The problem with K-Pop and the whole idol system is that they don’t give you time to mature.” he went on to add that the group has lost its direction.

While taking this break, many members of BTS hope to become successful individually. In doing so, they will better understand the music industry.

BTS debuted in 2013, and many members of the group are now 30 years old. Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook are all over 30 years old and have spent many successful years working together.

They’ve recently visited the White House to raise awareness about anti-Asian hate. They hoped to inspire change through their global influence.

Throughout the years, their movements have become almost robotic, according to Jin. He went on to mention that other members of BTS have hobbies of their own.

In order for the band to progress more, they need to step back and mature as individuals.

For many, the break of this famous K-Pop group has created many questions. Will the band reunite? Will they see the same success individually? What happens now? BTS has promised they will return after this break, but to many, their future seems uncertain.
