Iceland’s soccer captain Sara Bjork Gunnarsdottir has been dreaming to play in England where there are lots of famous stadiums. So, when the captain realized that they were playing 2 matches in the Manchester Academy Stadium she was shocked with excitement.

“You’re playing in England, you have so many stadiums, and we have a training ground from City. It’s just embarrassing.” She spoke. The stadium was not tiny compared to Old Trafford (Man United’s Home Stadium.) where the host’s England beat Austria however Iceland fans brought noise with a Viking clap. Iceland tied the game and broke their 0-point streak for the last 2 Euro appearances by just one match. The last time the Viking clap was done was in the Men’s Euro 16 vs France in the quarter finals. People in Group D of the Euro could hear the clapping it was super loud.

“It was a great atmosphere,” said many fans said.
