Underground roadways, in my opinion, would greatly benefit our future, allowing a large number of people to dwell in safety. It will enable wildlife conservation, pollution reduction, and the safety of pedestrians, runners, and cyclists.

Roads have benefited our culture greatly for many generations. evolved far more throughout the past century. Less than 500,000 automobiles were legally registered in America in 1910. The number increased to over 15 million by 1945, and today there is nearly one car for every American citizen. Billionaires like Elon Musk have now contributed to the construction of roads in 2022. These roads will be buried as a future stage because it benefits our civilization.

The public has never been fond of roads. They deplete available space and have a negative impact on the ecosystem in many ways. Nobody wants to help build underground roadways, not even Elon Musk, despite the fact that underground roadways are very efficient to our future.

One of the main effects of a future without surface roads is the increase in available space, according to BBC Future. Roads should be built underground in rural regions so that farming may be done more effectively, which will assist to increase wildlife and reduce air pollution.

Building roadways underground is also something that would be acceptable from an animal’s point of view. Another serious issue is collisions involving vehicles and animals. A lecturer at Cardiff University named Sarah Perkins discovered that thousands of animals were reported dead every year, with millions in Europe. Road deaths can be avoided and animals can have much safer lives if roads are buried.

Additionally, cyclists would be able to ride without using any roads. By removing highways from the city’s surface, runners, cyclists, and pedestrians would no longer have to coexist with automobiles.

Rachel Aldred, a professor of transport at the University of Westminster, asserts that “motor traffic mingling with people is intrinsically problematic.” Road traffic accidents are the primary cause of mortality for people between the ages of five and 29 every year, killing around 1.3 million people in total.
