HOW THE SNOW CAME
Long, long ago, there in Lake Tahoe lived a giant named George. He lived in a metal castle. He was taller than Mount Everest. George loved animals and nature. He always wore a brown t-shirt. Lake Tahoe, in that time, had no snow and was as hot as boiling water. The animals struggled to survive under the scorching, brutal sun.
One particularly bad day, a storm broke out. Lightning flashed. Thunder crashed. Suddenly a flash of lightning hit a tumbleweed. It burst into flame. Then another one caught fire. A tumbleweed rolled right up to a cactus and it also caught fire. Animals panicked. The people of Lake Tahoe panicked. Meanwhile, George the giant was snoozing, unaware of what was happening outside his big castle. That wasn’t until a loud ”BOOM!!!” woke him up. He rushed outside to see what was happening.
After he saw all the dying animals and plants, he decided to help all the poor animals from the raging fire. George had a plan. Since he was so big, the thunder clouds lay way down low under his body, so he could pick the animals up and put them in his huge castle. George wasted no time. He crouched down low and searched the grounds. George managed to help a lot of animals. Then, out of the corner of his eye, he saw a dead family of camels. George rushed to them. He gently scooped them up in his hands, and buried them in the ground. Before he knew what he was doing, he burst into tears.
“WHAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!” sobbed George.
The only thing was that he was so tall his tears froze and turned into snowflakes! George was so sad he cried and cried and cried until Lake Tahoe became a winter wonderland! All the thunder and lightning stopped, revealing a clear sunny day! The animals danced around and George was really happy.
THE END!!!!
