The Golden Staph is a disease that affects people’s skin near the nose. This disease is basically harmless on your skin but if it gets in your blood cells you can die. In Australia, 20 percent of the people who get Golden Staph will die.

The Golden Staph was known by the world around the 1970’s. To catch the Golden Staph you had to touch one person or a contaminated surface. You knew if you had Golden Staph if you had yellow pus on your skin.

Now in the 20th century, antibiotics such as Methicillin and Vancomycin were made to get rid of the Golden Staph. It may take up to 1 to 3 weeks to get rid of the Golden Staph.
