Gaza and Russia-Ukraine War Causes Uncertainty When UN Meets
Russia’s war on Ukraine has caused uncertainty when the United Nation meets. Also, some meetings to end the war were held, but ended up as a problem that was very rude.
The United Nation, or the UN was formed after the end of World War 2. Nearly all of the countries in the world have joined the UN. The United Nation is supposed to keep peace and protect human rights.
Russia’s war on Ukraine has started for two years. Tens of thousands of people have been killed in the war, and the war doesn’t seem to be ending soon. Russia’s attacks on Ukraine have increased and people are worried that this war could grow more brutal and large.
On September 19, 2025, President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance met with Ukranian President Volodymyr Zelensky in the white house. The meeting was supposed to be another step to ending the war, but it ended up as a shouting match.
Also, the UN has another war to deal with. Israel’s war in Gaza is still extremely dangerous. Over 65,000 people have been killed in Israel’s continuing fight with the Hamas. About 175 Palestinian people are dying of famine each month. Palestine may not become a country any time soon. Israel controls the West-Bank and Gaza where most Palestinians live. Israel’s prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, says that there shall not be a Palestinian Country.
Right now, 151 of the United Nation’s 193 members recognize Palestine as a new country, but Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says recognizing Palestine as a country is like saying thank you to the Hamas for its hard 2023 attack on Israel.
