Dear future me,
How are you doing? I am the “you” from three years ago, sitting here wondering what your life is like now.
Did you finally get at least seven AP scores of 5? If not, don’t let frustration hold you back—you should grab the time you have left and squeeze in more tests; you’ve always been good at pushing through. I hope your applications to English universities went smoothly, and that you’re on your way to the school of your dreams! You’ve always dreamed of going to an English school; you loved England so much and you loved the buildings in England so much! I still don’t have a specific one in mind yet, but I bet you’ve figured that out by now. You are always working hard on studying. I’m sure you can go to your favorite university.
Right now, I’m obsessed with playing the piano, and I think I’m actually pretty good at it. Please don’t give it up for the sake of grades. Piano’s never just been a hobby—it’s how we unwind when things feel overwhelming. And hey, do you still keep in touch with Adeline? She was so talented at piano, too, do you remember? You two got on so well when you were still in primary school. You’ve said before you two would be best friends forever, which is a promise to accompany you throughout your whole life. I hope you will feel happy every time you remembered as I do now.
No matter how busy you get studying, don’t forget to make time for things that make you happy. That’s the part I hope you never lose. I am worrying about chemistry and economy at the moment, they are so hard for me to study; however, I am still working hard on the two subjects just to get a score of five for each. You were always an optimist and an hard-working girl. I am sure you must have overcome it. I want to look at the moment when you got a five on these two projects. Also, please remember that your results came from both you and I, future and now. I believe that when you see the email of score, you’ll feel very excited. Will you thank us for working for so long? Will you feel exhausted? Or both?
I hope to meet you one day in the future! Thank you so much, enjoy your life, I’m always with you.
Your sincerely,
Ashley
