Daylight Savings Time Should Be Banned
Do you wish to ban daylight saving time? I certainly do! Daylight Saving Time causes you to lose sleep, feel depressed and fatigued, and it is very annoying to have to change your clocks twice a year.
Daylight Saving Time (DST) originated in the late 1700s when Benjamin Franklin introduced it to ‘save candles,’ but it was mostly a light-hearted attempt. Many requests to incorporate it were ignored.
Finally, Germany used it during WW1 to save coal, which earned it some popularity. Slowly, more and more countries began to adopt DST. It got so out of hand that some states alone had dozens of different DST times. Finally, the U.S. passed a law that set the official DST dates.
First, having to suddenly wake up an hour later or earlier twice a year will cause you to lose sleep for several days while you adapt to the new time, which in turn causes fatigue and depression. Additionally, you will have to carefully to the correct new time, or you’ll likely miss appointments, think it is the wrong time, and lose even more sleep.
