The Story of Teamwork

Once upon a time, there were 5 siblings who were constantly bickering with each other. It wasn’t always like this, though. When their mother had passed away a few years ago, the siblings were easily annoyed and were constantly yelling at each other. Their father now had to do double the work to afford sending the siblings to school. He also had to constantly keep watch over them and stop them from fighting. One afternoon, the siblings fought over who would collect the wood chips for the fire that night. The 5 of them began to fight. The fight soon escalated and became physical, with the oldest brother pushing the youngest one. That was the last straw for the father. Without a word, he took all five of his sons into the woods to teach them a lesson.
The siblings, for once, became quiet. Even the forest seemed to be holding its breath, waiting to see what their father would do. After all, they had never seen their father so angry. The father motioned for the sons to follow him through the woods. Then, he blindfolded the 5 sons and left them there for the night, telling them not to move until morning.
When morning did come, the brothers all took off their blindfolds and looked around. Naturally, they did the first thing that came to mind. They began to yell at each other and point fingers, blaming each other for getting them stuck in the forest. The youngest brother was shouting at the oldest brother. “If you hadn’t pushed me, we wouldn’t have gotten into this mess!”, the youngest brother exclaimed. The oldest brother blamed the second youngest brother for starting the fight, and so on. Soon, the arguments quieted down. They all knew that they had to get home soon. With their knowledge combined, the siblings found their way back to the little cottage and went in.
Inside, their father sat, humming a quiet melody. Upon hearing the door open, he looked up but said nothing. The siblings looked at each other. Then, they laughed. For the first time in years, they laughed together. They weren’t laughing at each other anymore; they were laughing at themselves. Each of them is now taking responsibility for their actions and learning that teamwork is truly one of the most important aspects in life. From then on, they became known for their teamwork and solving clues and puzzles together. They worked as a team, no longer fighting but looking to find solutions as a team.
