As the Seasons Change
“The Joyful Birds of Spring”
The sparrows will fly,
The nightingales will sing songs.
The swallows will glide.
“Fire and Water”
Ripe watermelon
Scorching rays of sun raise heat
Cool, clear brook water
“Leaves on the Ground”
Days get colder now.
The foxes prepare themselves,
The beautiful time.
“The Heat of Ice”
Buried comfortably,
Foxes sleep in warm dens now.
Ermines rule the snow.
“Return of Sound”
Winter prepared soil,
Foxes wake up from their sleep.
New sounds of life come.
“The Smolder”
Lightning, forest fire.
Summer is here once again.
But the fruits are ripe.
“Nestled Away”
The time has now come
For me to say my goodbyes.
They, the foxes, wink.
“Peace”
How much I worry.
About my fox friends sleeping.
Despite peace at last.
