Ding, Ding, Ding! I hear it again! I wake out of sleep to find my alarm clock ringing. Its 12AM. Its been 4 nights already! Why does it keep ringing at 12 AM to wake me out of sleep? I turn the alarm clock off and quickly go back to sleep. My name is Sumin Hoff and I am in 4th grade. I am currently on my summer break. During my summer break I play with my friends and watch lots of TV. It’s been the second time that my alarm clock started ringing at 12 AM. I start my day and eat breakfast. Next, I go to my friend’s house and we play video games. We say goodbye at 3pm, and I come to my house. At home, I start watching TV and I watch until 6 p.m. until my mom says to stop watching and to eat dinner. I eat dinner, wash up, and go to bed by 8:57 p.m. My alarm clock has been going off at 12 a.m. exactly for four nights already. I have to investigate, so tonight I try my best to wake up and not fall asleep. I lay in bed and turn on my lamp and read a book. It’s currently 11 o’clock. I have only one hour to go. I am super tired and I want to sleep, but I have to see why my alarm clock is ringing at 12. Yes, it’s 11:59, only one minute to go. I have to see-I stare at my alarm clock and it changes to 12, but nothing happens. I keep waiting and waiting until one o’clock, but still nothing happens. By then, I’m so tired I pass out. I wake up the next morning and I am confused. Why didn’t the alarm clock ring like it used to at 12 o’clock? I didn’t even set it at 12! Why didn’t it ring this time? I hope it doesn’t ring one more time at 12 AM because I want to sleep. I’m tired.
