Swimming
I’ve been swimming since I was 7. So that is 6 years I have been swimming. Swimming for me brings me so much joy, and it is definitely one of my biggest passions. Swimming has made me have a better mentality and has given me so many new friends.
Swimming can be hard sometimes. If you don’t do good in a race, or you add time, or you think that can really affect on how you think you did. But even if you did do any of those 3 things, it’s not the end of the world because you can always get back up after it and race again.
Hard practices can really make you think about why you chose this sport. I practice every day except Sunday. Sunday is our off day. Every time I finish a hard set, my body feels dead. I can barely move my arms or my legs. After I finish my set, I always think to myself that this will help me get better. Even though those times might kill me, I know deep down, I will never quit this sport because it’s brought a lot of happiness to me.
The best part of this sport is all the new connections you make. Some of my closest friends are because of this sport. Even though we only see each other for an hour and thirty minutes, they bring me a lot of happiness. We always laugh through hard sets, annoy our coach, and just make practices funnier by being together.
All these meets, practices, and hangouts are the best parts ever. I love this sport so much and I always will.
