China opens the world's tallest and longest Bridge
On September 28, 2025, China opened a bridge that broke the world record for the tallest bridge. This bridge was located above the Beipan River in Guizhou, a province in China, and was built to cut the time to cross the canyon.
The point of this bridge isn’t just to shorten the time it takes to get across, but to be a tourist attraction. The bridge features a walkway with glass floors, allowing tourists to enjoy the view more clearly. There is a glass elevator that leads to a cafe located 800 meters above the bridge. Daring visitors can bungee jump off with a strong and secure cord.
Another reason why this bridge was built was for economic growth. Guizhou is one of the poorest provinces in China. This bridge could have a positive effect on tourism and economic growth.
