Bondi Beach Shooting

There was a shooting at Bondi Beach in Australia. Two men, a 50 year old father and a 24 year old son, killed at least 16 people and left around 40 injured. At Bondi Beach, which is a popular tourist spot, people were happily celebrating an important Jewish holiday before the shooting began. When the police were called in, they killed the father and detained the son, who is in the hospital. The police say that they also found 2 bombs nearby.

Before this incident, the president of United States of America, Donald Trump, took a giant Venezuelan oil tank. Ever since the war between Israel and the Hamas, Jewish people have received more hate. Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese says that an attack on Jewish Australians is an attack on all Australians. He believes that the attack was a terrorist attack. Now, Australia’s gun laws are even stricter than before.

There was a 42-old man called Ahmed el Ahmed who was deemed a hero after tackling and disarming one of the shooters. He was thought to have saved countless lives after that. Some other people, including a man and woman saw what they were doing but then got shot dead. The bridge was where the shooters were shooting from. First, the shooters opened fired on a bridge; second, one of the gunmen made his way towards the crowd; third, a bystander wrestled the gun off him; fourth, the shooter got another gun after retreating to the bridge; and fifth, one of the gunmen was shot dead while the other was injured and arrested.
