War between Iran and US breaks out in Middle East

In late-February, the United States conducted an operation called Operation Epic Fury, a military campaign that focused on bombing nuclear and government sites in Iran. Shortly after the start of the campaign, Supreme Leader of Iran Ayatollah Khamenei was declared dead along with many of his family members, including his wife, his son, and two of his grandchildren. Though the focus is meant to be on military sites, many civilians have been killed in strikes, such as one that hit a girl’s school. According to the New York Times, U.S. president Donald Trump refused to answer questions. However, he did state that the Iranian government could be at fault for the deaths of the young girls due to an inaccuracy when attempting to retaliate against the U.S.

According to the Guardian, the main purpose of the plan is to weaken Iran’s nuclear arsenal. as they Iran hasve made threats of nuclear retaliation against Israel, who are still at war with Palestine – an ally of Iran. Being an ally of Israel, the U.S. decided to step up their international security program and launch Epic Fury.

In related news, the Finalissima between the Argentine Men’s Soccer Team and the Spanish Men’s Soccer team has been cancelled due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. The game was set to be held in the region of Qatar, which has been in the middle of this conflict. as well as being an important location for U.S. military bases. Further news will be given soon.
