“The Life of a Showgirl”: Taylor Swift’s New Album
On Wednesday, Taylor Swift announced her upcoming 12th album, “The Life of a Showgirl”, on the “New Heights” podcast.
Swift also posted this on her official website after she posted a timer counting down to 00:12 ET, along with a short video showing her with a copy of the blurred out album.
This is the first album Swift has announced since gaining back ownership of her songs. There is no release date yet, but fans have a theory that it will be released before the 13th of October, since that is when Swift’s pre-ordered albums will be sent out.
People have been posting orange-themed memes after the album was announced. This is because Swift was wearing orange in the last of her last “The Eras Tour“ shows.
“It feels like energetically how my life has felt,” she said on the Wednesday podcast.
Swift finished her legendary “The Eras Tour“ in December, which was the first such tour to ever reach a billion dollars in revenue. She toured for almost two years, playing in 53 cities and having 149 shows.
