In 2805, the world has turned into a distant land of garbage uninhabited by humans. The only inhabitants are robots called Waste Allocation Load Lifters-Earth Class (A.K.A. W.A.L.L.-E.) manufactured by Buy n Large. These robots seek to make Earth clean again, by piling up centuries of trash into large towers to maximize efficiency.

Wall-E, the protagonist of the story, is the last of these robots on Earth. In a vast world with no life except robots, Wall-E finds a plant, the future’s only hope to a new world. He shelters and waters the plant, knowing that its survival could lead to the start of the new world. But on the inside, Wall-E is lonely. As the last standing robot, his robotic friends have all broken down. His only companion is a cricket that he named Hal.

After watching numerous romance tapes, he begins to yearn for a friend. Until one day, when his world collapses. A mysterious spaceship called the Axiom lands on the surface of the Earth, sending a massive wave of dust that alerts Wall-E of the spaceship’s landing.

Amongst heaps of garbage, he finds another robot called Eve. Unlike Wall-E’s blocky, rusted design, Eve is sleek, white, and shiny-leading Wall-E to start stalking this strange new robot. Quickly, Eve finds who is stalking her, and Wall-E and Eve become acquainted with each other. After Wall-E makes several desperate attempts to make her his friend, Eve and Wall-E finally become friends. Excited, Wall-E shows Eve all the trinkets that he has gathered over the course of hundreds of years. But as soon as Eve sees the plant, she runs off to the spaceship that soon takes off. Wall-E hitches a ride onto the massive ship to look for Eve, and quickly finds that over time, humans have become overweight and need technology to accommodate their everyday needs. The people on the ship even need floating chairs to help them move!

After Eve gives the captain of the ship the plant, the Captain makes a plan to redirect the ship to Earth and start a new life. Little does he know what will happen. It refuses to go back to Earth, and sabotages their plan of returning to Earth with the plant. In order to save the future of humans and Earth, the people on board the ship must all cooperate and learn to walk for the first time in centuries.

The movie Wall-E will teach you about responsibilities and the importance of the world around you. In this film, the sacrifices and curiosity made by the protagonist were needed to save Earth. The experience of watching this film will definitely awe the audience and teach them what the future of the world will be if we do not take care of it.
