It’s kind, it’s helpful and it was just introduced to the Minecraft world last Tuesday! What is it? It’s the Copper Golem. On July 1, 2025 the Copper Golem was brought into the game Minecraft that had over a 204.33 million players. Previously, in 2021, the Copper Golem lost to the Allay during a fan vote and the Allay, a mob that collects and delivers items to players, was added into the game. However, after hearing and seeing the disappointment of fans all over the world, creator Mojang announced that the Copper Golem would be returning to the game along with other copper items, tools, and weaponry.

The Copper Golem is said to be a mob that helps you clean up your inventory. Mobs are living and moving creature in the game that have different behaviors. According to Minecraft, the Copper Golem is a companion that cleans up your trails and gives you a variety of tools from the copper chest that comes with it. It looks like a small copper statue with an antenna at the top. To summon it, players place a carved pumpkin over an iron block. After summoned, a copper chest will appear beside the Copper Golem and the Golem will sort and put things from the copper chest to any nearby player’s chest. Then, it will move on and continue to find chests and return them to the nearest player’s chest.

Not only is the Copper Golem returning to Minecraft but it also comes with all different types of armors, weapons, and tools. For right now, copper has been placed between stone and iron in terms of speed, strength, and durability. For example, copper tools allow you to mine quicker and longer than a stone pickaxe but it won’t grant you additional materials like iron. Still though, it is abundant and the common state of it makes it perfect for games.

As the Copper Golem returns to the Minecraft world, players begin to summon it and use it in their games. After placing the Copper Golem into the game, most of the feedback from many of the users is positive and they appreciate the item sorting abilities and the use of copper. The copper tools also have generally positive feedback but some players question its use in later games. Soon, the Copper Golem and copper tools will be on all of the Minecraft games and servers.
