In my opinion, King should approve World Cup Day off in Scotland because it allows students to watch the world cup without having to worry about being late or completely missing out on the show. It also can help students relax for a day so they can have fun like hanging out with family and friends. and . The break can allow students to have short vacations.

The break should be official because it is the the FIFA World Cup for the first time in 28 years. The break can also allow students to do extra work at home. For example, they can do their due work at home, so they won’t get distracted by their classmates. According to BBC news, “This year’s World Cup is being played across the USA, Canada and Mexico. Scotland’s first match in Boston, will see the team play Haiti at 2am UK time, on Sunday 14 June”. It is a very special event, and it would be a disappointing to miss out on it. Some kids are extremely interested in this event and would be very sad on missing out on it because of school. Most of the adults that like football want to have a day off to celebrate the success of Scotland. It would be very exciting to have a day off to celebrate the success of the Scotland’s team, especially if you are a student.
