16 miles of trails

One hobby that I like is biking because it is very fun seeing the view. The feeling of it just makes it more enjoyable. I usually bike on the Minuteman bike path in Lexington, Massachusetts. I usually bike for 20-30 minutes at a time, which is roughly 2.5- 3 miles. This makes the experience more fun because of the speed.

Once a year, I bike on the Minuteman bike path all the way into Boston, where my family and I might go to a restaurant. I want to get better at stopping the pedal faster while biking, so that I can stop the bike if needed when I go too fast. It matters to me because it calms all of the stress I have in my mind.

The Minuteman Bike Way is a 10-mile-long piece of bike path that connects Alewife Station in Cambridge near Boston to Bedford Depot. The bike way consists of a paved road, but high hills and a few parts having rough surfaces, especially near some town centers.

There is another trail at the Bedford depot where, if you go right diagonally for about 100 meters, there will be a trail sign saying “Narrow Gauge rail trail”.
This 3-mile trail has a 100-meter paved part, but the rest of the trail is unpaved with gravel. Some parts of the trail may include uneven surfaces and ice, and frost during the winter. This road goes into southern Billerica.
There is also a trail called “Alewife Greenway” that is 3.5 miles long, and other bike trails that go into the city of Boston. Some of these trails can also be unpaved or have bumpy and uneven surfaces.

If people can overcome this risk of traversing through this bike trail, these trails have a pretty nice scenery. The stops along the way of the trail allow people to take breaks, get food or ice cream, or maybe just relax.

In conclusion, I like biking on the bike path because of the views and the thrill of traversing through these bike trails.
