WestJet’s Yearly Christmas Miracle Surprises Parents Once Again

Canada’s airline, WestJet, is famous for its annual “Christmas Miracle.” Every year, WestJet employees spread Christmas cheer by helping out unsuspecting customers. Annually they focus on a different topic, and this year was all about helping out the parents.
This December, families traveling from Toronto to Calgary were invited to visit Santa’s station before they boarded their flight. The kids were asked by WestJet’s famous Blue Santa what they thought their parents, and other grownups in the lives of the kids, wanted for Christmas this year. The kids asked for everything from avocados, to a trip to Italy.
Then, after the families boarded the plane and started their journey to Calgary, WestJet employees in Calgary scrambled to buy all the gifts for the people on the incoming plane. After getting everything they needed, they brought the goods to the airport.
With everything ready, the plane from Toronto arrived, and when everyone made their way to the baggage claim area, they were shocked to find exactly what they wanted for Christmas this year. The parents, utterly shocked, were jumping in joy. This heartwarming moment was recorded and released on Youtube on December 9th, 2024.
This Christmas tradition started 11 years ago, when WestJet aspired to spread the joy of the season by activating something remarkable, sentimental, and interactive for its guests and employees. Over the years, WestJet has prepared care packages for those in need and helped families reunite for Christmas. Seven years ago, WestJet prepared the 12 flights of Christmas, bringing children’s imagination to life. The annual Christmas miracle is an amazing example of the Christmas spirit and generosity.
