This chapter won’t follow the normal routine, but it’s still about the Star Kingdom. So far, our main characters are Astra, Leah, Esmaray, Arella, and Davina. There isn’t going to be a new character today, because this story is about the five characters we already have. Remember the mission Astra’s parents were up against? Well, you probably never thought about whether they completed it or not.
It was a normal day at the Star Tower, and Davina decided to come and live with Astra until she was able to buy a house.
“Oh, hello, Davina, I was just going to get some biscuits for Sailor and Star-fog, and then fetch the two of them from Earth. Leah should be coming along, too,” Astra exclaimed.
“Sorry—who are Star-fog and Sailor?” Davina asked.
“Star-fog is my star-unicorn, and Sailor is my dog.”
“I thought Earth dogs weren’t allowed to come here,” Davina questioned.
“Well, Sailor is a special little buddy.” Astra smiled as she pulled out her Sagittarius stone.
Knock, knock, knock! Astra and Davina turned to face the door.
“That should be Leah!” Astra sang happily as she opened the door.
“What areyou so happy about? You suck Pinkie Pie,” the person said as she shoved past Astra.
“That’s Leah? She ain’t as cheery as I imagined she’d be,” Davina sighed.
“That’s Esmaray, or as I like to call her, the Devil.” Astra groaned as she glared at Esmaray.
“Astra?” a soothing voice asked.
“Leah! Finally! Now we can go to Earth!” Astra shouted as all three girls grabbed onto their stones, leaving a grumpy Esmaray behind.
There were a few minutes of rough teleporting, which was normal for the girls. After landing on the hard concrete behind Astra’s house on Earth, the girls went to fetch Sailor and Star-fog. Astra set Sailor and Star-fog free from their leashes, and walked out the door.
“Star-fog and Sailor are really beautiful. I love golden retrievers like Sailor, and I just love Star-fog’s glossy rainbow hair,” Davina commented.
They then climbed into a taxi and went to the pet store for treats.
“Sailor would like these, don’t you think? But I think Star-fog would be more likely to enjoy treats from the Star Kingdom,” Davina suggested.
“Sure, let’s go back to the kingdom. I got a message from King Night the other day, so we should go visit the castle,” Astra planned.
Back to the teleportation system they went, and the ride wasn’t the best, but it was worth it since they got to view beautiful pink and blue stars on the way there. The girls went to the Tower and settled in.
“Oh, you’re back, I thought you would have got lost your way, and your mommy wouldn’t be there to rescue you because she is having tea without her little princess,” Esmaray said sarcastically.
“Shove off, Emo,” Davina said forcefully.
“Whatever, ya’ll are wasting my time,” Esmaray blankly spoke.
Astra, Davina, and Leah were just about to go out the front door when the door burst open.
“MOM! What the heck? You scared me half to death!” Astra yelled as she clutched her chest.
“Sorry dear, we must be all hyped up from the tea—it was delicious! They had a new flavor named Star-berry, and I loved it!” Astra’s mom gushed.
“Did you like the new flavor, Mom?” Leah asked her mom.
“It was quite delicious, but you know, Starcha is still my all-time favorite!” Leah’s mom laughed.
“You know, you could get Starcha back on Earth for way cheaper, because it’s basically Matcha,” Astra mentioned.
“No way! Respect the real creators of the flavor! The Star Kingdom obviously made it first!” Astra’s mom piped up.
“I’m going to the castle!” Astra sang happily as the trio marched out the door.
“I’ll look after your animals!” Astra’s mom shouted through the window.
After a long walk to the castle, King Night greeted them with a warm smile.
“Astra and friends, come have a seat. This is very important,” King Night reminded them.
“Tea?” King Night asked the three girls.
“Thank you,” Astra said as King Night poured tea.
“Astra, you are going to be assigned an important task. You are allowed to bring along a maximum of three trusted people. The people you trust the most would wise to bring. Don’t tell your parents I’m assigning you this task, though, because they failed the first time, and they’d feel ashamed if this reminded them of their failure. I also don’t want them to be offended. Your mission is to find the most precious item in the kingdom. This item was once kept in the castle, and it was stolen by star-scouts. It was a book,” King Night described.
“The book of names?” Astra questioned.
“Yeah, when Astra and I followed some star-scouts into a cave, we saw this huge book of names on a podium,” Leah realized.
“Then you shall go and retrieve that book, and bring it back to the castle where it belongs, and I will do the rest,” King Night commanded.
As the girl exited the castle gates, they discussed who Astra was going to bring along on her mission.
“I’m definitely bringing you guys,” Astra confirmed.
“But who is the third person going to be? Better not be Esmaray—I’ll quit if you bring her. Scorpios like her aren’t easy to work with,” Leah chuckled.
“I met this kind girl the other day. Her name was Arella. You remember her, right Leah?” Astra questioned.
“She was quite nice, and Libras are reliable people to work with on important tasks,” Leah recalled.
“Well, where do we find this Arella girl?” Davina asked.
“Most likely at the Star Café. It’s her go-to place to study and have a drink,” Astra replied.
“Didn’t we all go to Star Foods to fill you up last time?” Leah brought up.
“We’ll go there if Arella is not at the Star Café,” Davina recommended.
“Let’s go!” Leah sang.
After entering the Star Café, the trio spotted Arella at a corner table, reading an astrology book. As soon as Arella spotted the trio, she hopped off her stool and smiled at them.
“Hey Leah, hi Astra, what are the chances of bumping into you two today?” Arella warmly smiled.
“One hundred percent. And this is Davina, my cousin,” Astra replied.
The girls explained the whole scenario and they were not surprised when Arella agreed to come along on the mission.
“When do we go?” Arella asked.
“I’d say tomorrow, very early in the morning. There should be a few people in the streets, so they can call star-shooters if they see anything violent or chaotic happening. There shouldn’t be very many star-scouts guarding the cave, as they are very lazy,” Astra explained.
“Whatever you say, Captain,” Davina joked.
“Let’s get some sleep and meet at the big star at 5 sharp,” Arella suggested.
“See ya!” the girls shouted as they parted.
The next day, everyone met at the big star at 5 sharp and not a minute later or earlier. They made their way to the cave and spotted very few star-scouts guarding the entrance, as Astra had predicted.
“Davina and Arella, can you find a way to knock those scouts out while we sneak in the door?” Astra asked as they hid behind a huge rock.
“Leave it to us!” Davina agreed as she pulled Arella along with her.
Astra and Leah crept their way to the door, while Davina grabbed a rock and knocked a scout out. The other scout tried to shoot Arella, but Davina shoved Arella to one side and the bullet barely missed her. Arella grabbed a stick and poked the scout in the back to distract him. Davina then punched the scout, knocking him unconscious.
“Nice work!” the two girls chorused as they high-fived each other.
Davina and Arella dragged one of the scouts over to the cave’s front door and Astra pressed his limp hand to the part of the door that would open to his touch (only scouts could open the door, and if any other person tried to open it, the scouts inside would be alerted). The door slid open and the girls crept in. The huge book of names was still lying open on the stone podium, and Arella went to grab it.
“No, this is too easy,” Leah realized.
Davina stepped on a small stone and a noisy, clanging alarm bell sounded.
“Told ya.” Leah whispered.
“HEY!” the entire squad of star-scouts shouted as they ran to the girls.
“RUUUNNN!” Astra yelled as the girls parted ways, making them harder to catch.
Davina ran like the wind and leapt onto a high rock. She grabbed a rusty rope lying around. Davina jumped down, tied up the scouts, and then caught up to Astra.
“Arella, grab the book!” Leah cried as a star-scout caught up to her.
Leah kicked the scout and Arella grabbed the book from the podium. Davina slunk into a corner and called some star-shooters to the cave. Astra sped up as she ducked under a rock and punched a star-scout. Arella was running with the book in her arms just as a scout grabbed onto her. Soon after, Astra, Arella, and Leah were surrounded. A star-scout tried to grab the book, but Arella threw it to Leah, who threw it to Astra.
“Little girl, give it to me before we beat you up!” a star-scout sneered.
“You wish!” Astra shouted as she threw the book to Davina, who was hanging from the ceiling.
“Nice one!” Davina happily shouted as she threw the book to a star- shooter.
The four girls kicked and punched as many star-scouts as they could and exited the cave with the star-shooter carrying the gigantic book.
“Nice work! Now take the book to the castle,” he commanded as he handed over the book.
The four girls ran to the castle as fast as they could and rushed up to King Night. “King Night, we got the book!” they exclaimed as they huffed and puffed.
“Excellent work! I am so proud of your loyalty and bravery that I award each of you a power star, and Astra, if I remember correctly, you now have two power stars,” King Night winked at Astra.
Not long after, some star-shooters arrived with all of the evil star-scouts, dragging the villains to the castle’s prison.
“King Night, why did the star-scouts want the book so badly?” Davina asked.
“They wanted to erase their names so they wouldn’t get caught. So it is my job to put their names back, and to keep the book safe.” King Night explained.
Turns out, when Astra’s parents found out that the girls had completed their mission, they were neither ashamed nor offended after all; in fact, they were very proud of their daughter and her brave, loyal friends. So, I guess that’s the end of today’s adventure, and I guess I’ll see you next time!
