The new film Matilda the Musical has been announced and so have the actors in the famous Roald Dahl book.
As the actor Alisha Wier will be playing the known and loved character Matilda and Lashana Lynch will be playing the sweet teacher Miss Honey. So far, we know that Emma Thompson, will be playing the mean principal Miss Trunchbull. The inside of the school and Matilda and her friends she made along the way facing the mean principal Miss. Trunchbull in the trailer that just released. These were not in the trailer but in an article, it says, “The story follows a girl called Matilda who loves to read and is very intelligent, but doesn’t fit in with the rest of her family. She discovers she can move things with her mind, and uses her powers to help protect her teacher and friends from school head, Miss Trunchbull, who abuses her power to push the kids around.” This film will have different twists and turns that are not in the old movie nor book, but there are some things that are like the characters and many incidents happen as well.
The musical stage show is known for its songs like When I Grow Up. In fact, this musical won 7 Olivier Awards, which is a very important award for musicals. This musical was played at Stratford-Upon-Avon, but it also opened on Broadway in New York. In the U.K it’s releasing around Christmas, but the American release dates are not out yet.
