In Sandusky, Ohio at the Cedar Point amusement park, the Magnum XL-200 stopped unexpectedly because of a mechanical issue. The group of about a dozen people were trapped with nowhere to go 250 feet above the ground.

It was said the incident was triggered by a “check engine light” and that it was standard. The riders were calm and all were unharmed.

The Magnum XL-200 was given a Guiness World Record for the tallest roller coaster in 1989. The ride is a thrilling, exciting and fast ride that takes you through turns, twists, tunnels and more.

The Magnum XL-200 has been closed since, and the park is working to solve the issues and get the ride back as soon as possible. They are trying to improve it so incidents like this don’t happen again. This specific incident has happened before. Over the years, different rides from different festivals and parties have experienced a similar problem. For example, at a Wisconsin Festival, The Fireball ride had 8 passengers stuck upside down hours as rescue teams tried to get them down.

All in all, amusement parks are super fun but they experience problems as well. Luckily these problems were fixed as soon as possible and they were able to rescue all victims as no one was injured.
